When Will it end?

The question is when will the arguing in Denver end, i think the answer to that question is when Jay Cutler leaves Denver, The issue is way past resolving and way past Cutler staying in Denver.

I am a Bronco fan and i would hate to see Jay Cutler leave Denver, but at first i thought this issue could be resolved and keep jay in Denver. But after it has been dragged threw the mood, i think the only way this will end is when Jay Cutler leaves.

I think the thing is now that Jay Cutler wants out of Denver and not Josh McDaniels wants Cutler out. I think Cutler took a few things the wrong way, but wasnt ment in that way.

Now Cutler has a lot of options, he has already started the process and has asked the Broncos for a trade. But who would trade for him, well a lot of teams. But then they have to give Broncos what they want and what Cutler wants.

The best thing for the Broncos to do is trade for the 1st pick of the 2009 draft from the Detroit Lions. But i doubt Cutler would like to go there, then there's the Bears, Buccaneers are also a good choice. But all these need to be able to give the Broncos something they want as well as Cutler so it could be a while.

Last but not least the Broncos could force Jay Cutler to stay and play for the Broncos this year, this is not the best option for the Broncos but it wouldn't be healthy for the Broncos as a team.

Mike Peterson signs for Falcons

Former Jaguars Linebacker Mike Peterson has signed for the Atlanta Falcons, he will be reunited with his old defensive coach from Jacksonville.

Peterson got a two year deal and financial terms weren't disclosed.

Atlanta was looking for a veteran linebacker after they lost Pro Bowl Keith Brooking to the Dallas Cowboys and Michael Boley in free agency, who started most of last season at strong side line backer, to the New York Giants. The only full-time starter still on the Falcons' roster is middle linebacker Curtis Lofton in his 2ND season this season.

Peterson's days in Jacksonville were numbered after he ran afoul of Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio last year. Peterson was sent home twice for insubordination and fined $10,000 and benched for a game during Jacksonville's disappointing 5-11 season.

Other news, Cleveland Browns sign former Ravens CB Corey Ivy, Terms of the deal weren't disclosed. Kurt Warner has undergone surgery on his hip and will most likely miss mini camp in may.

Cutler gets the call

New Denver Broncos coach Josh McDaniels and QB Jay Cutler have talked for the first time this week since the trade talks became public. Cutler spoke with McDaniels on Monday in a conference call, but it is not fully known what was discussed.

The call has been said to have only made things worse between McDaniels and Cutler, Cutler left the conversation feeling he would be traded by draft day, if the Broncos could find the right deal.

A team official with knowledge of the discussions, however, said that despite what other sources may be saying, the two sides did not grow farther apart in this conversation.

The person, who asked to remain anonymous because no one in the organization was authorized to speak publicly about the talks, said issues were discussed openly and it was re-emphasized that Cutler would not be traded. It was also stated that Cutler needed to meet with McDaniels in person to keep things moving in the right direction.

Cutler entered the conference call Monday believing the rift between him and McDaniels that grew out of the Broncos' attempts to trade the QB two weeks ago would be resolved. Instead, Cutler was told by McDaniels that no one is untradeable and that the QB was expected to report for the team's offseason conditioning program that begins Monday.

The conference call was the first step in what could be a long reconciliation process between the Broncos' new 32-year-old coach and his temperamental quarterback.
Josh McDaniels and Jay Cutler spoke on a conference call Monday and the Broncos look forward to talking to Jay in the future and certainly face to face.

Last week, the Broncos insisted Cutler wasn't on the trading block and said he and McDaniels would meet in Denver this week to clear the air.

T.O. to Buffalo

T.O. has found his new team after just 2 days on the market, he signed for the Buffalo Bills not one of the teams who were favorites to get him.

In the two days that T.O. was a free agents there were at least 3 teams came out and stated that they were not interested in T.O. Its not often that happens but with a player of his caliber your players will be wondering until you rule yourself out of the running.

Owens signed a one-year deal worth to a $6.5 million.

Looking at the Bills you have to wonder why he picked them, when the Saints and the Cardinals were interested in signing him. You would expect him to join a team that had a QB that was proven in the NFL, But as he said he will take the pressure of Lee Evans. But he will get what he wanted at the Cowboys, more looks. You can be sure that T.O. will be looked at by Trent Edwards.

Other news, Packers add S Anthony Smith, If RB Ryan Grant could squeeze $18 million out of the Packers over four years while the organization was trying to figure out what to do with QB Brett Favre last summer, then what’s stopping Packers CB Tramon Williams from getting his payday this time around?

T.O. done in Dallas

Terrell Owens has done his time in Dallas and has been released, now some people may be think what are the Cowboys doing.

But if you look at what a major distraction he has been for the Dallas Cowboys. You will understand and that he also had one of his least productive years last season.

Plus this also opens up a large amount of there salary cap. The WR carried $8.995 million. By releasing him before June, his 2009 salary-cap charge to Dallas accelerates to $9.675 million

There are some bad sides to this release, they won't be selling as many No.81 jerseys and Tony Romo will not have his main Receiver out on the field. But at least he won't have to listen to T.O. moaning, he has got enough balls thrown his way.

Owens may have a hard time trying to find a new team, as the teams will have to evaluate if he is worth the hassle he will cause. Yes he may catch 80 passes for 1,300 yards and 15 touchdowns but if he is detracting you players at the wrong time, could cause a downfall in team morale and that's not want you want in your team.
Other News, Lions sign CB Phillip Buchanon to a two-year, $8.5 million deal. DE Demetric Evans signs a two-year deal worth $3.8 million with the 49ers. Bengals are expected to sign J.T. O’Sullivan as Carlson Palmer's Back-up. Torry Holt asks to leave St.Louis.

Chris Simms signs for Broncos

QB Chris Simms has signed for the Denver Broncos, but don't worry the Broncos have no intention's of starting him over Jay Cutler. Simms will be insurance in case Cutler every gets injured.

Simms has signed a two year deal with the Broncos, the numbers are unknown at this time. He has not yet signed the contract, but he will do soon.

Simms has not seen much action since he played 11 games in 2005 for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Since then he has played in 4 games, but only started in 3. Cutlers back up from last season Patrick Ramsey has not yet signed for a team in the FA.

After all the talk about Quarterbacks in Denver, who would have thought that they would have signed a back-up, i suppose this could be McDaniels way of saying to Cutler your are starter here's your back-up.

Jay Cutler will meet with Josh McDaniels sometime next week, hopefully to start building bridges in there relationship. McDaniels also meet with Brandon Marshal Yesterday and you can be sure there was words said about the incident in Atlanta.

Lewis back in Baltimore

Ray Lewis has finally made his decision and will re-join the Baltimore Ravens, from the beginning there was no question on were Ray Lewis was going until, DeMarcus Ware came out and said that Lewis did not want to go back to the Ravens.

For a few days after this statement was made, it looked like Lewis was not going to return to Baltimore. But then Ray Lewis came out and cleared up the subject by confirming that he didn't say he would not return to the Ravens and would still go back if he was asked.

The deal has yet to be signed on the dotted line, but they have agreed on a deal. The contract is reported to be along the lines of three-years, worth $20 million to $25 million. The deal should be finalized in the next few days.

With C Jason Brown signing with the Rams, Baltimore were in need of someone to fill the roll. So they went out and signed veteran C Matt Birkon on Wednesday, who has spent his entire career in Minnesota.

Other news, TE L.J. Smith will visit the Falcons, the Falcons need a TE to replace Alge Crumpler, who was let go last season.

Broncos Sign 2 RB and DE

The Denver Broncos have signed another RB from the free agency LaMont Jordan and also manage to complete the signing of RB J.J Arrington.

Arrington had a deal with the Broncos but it fell thought due to some snags in the contract. But they have now agreed on a deal. Jordan will get a two-year contract worth $2.5 million and Arrington will get a four-year deal and $10 million contract.

DE Kenny Peterson re-signs for the Broncos on a four year deal. Peterson played in every game last season, getting 24 tackles and 3.5 sacks.

Denver also has a three-year, $4.5 million offer sheet signed with restricted free agent David Anderson from the Houston Texans. Houston have until Friday to match the Broncos' offer or work out a trade. If the Broncos Sign Anderson they will have spent around the same amount of money on 11 players, as the Redskins did on Albert Haynesworth.

Other News, DE Demetric Evans is in negotiations with the 49ers and Redskins. QB Kurt Warner has agreed to go back to the Arizona desert for a two-year deal worth $23 million, including $19 million guaranteed. Saints re-sign WR Henderson. Ray Lewis is expected to sign for Ravens in the next 24 hours. Giants sign Safety C.C. Brown. Bengals sign WR Laveranues Coles to try and replace T.J. Houshmanzadeh.

Broncos shopping for a backup

Now the Denver Broncos have publicly said that Jay Cutler is there QB, the next step is to find someone to back him up. They could well end up with the best back up in Denver since Jay Cutler was Backing up Jake Plummer.

The Broncos are looking to sign QB Chris Simms, he is scheduled to visit Denver on Wednesday. Broncos last back up was Patrick Ramsey, who was with the Broncos for two seasons and played in 3 games, threw for 281 yards, 1 Touchdown and 1 INT.

Andre Goodman has said that Denver Broncos would not let him go to Cleveland, which is were he was meant to visit after the Broncos. Josh McDaniels seems to know how to make his players that he signs feel welcome. Goodman said that he did not want to leave Denver because with his meeting with McDaniels, he made him feel that the team wanted him not needed.

Jay Cutler is staying in Denver for the up coming season after Josh McDaniels came out and said that Cutler is our QB. But it didn't make the situation easier that it took 4 days for him to come out and tell the world that Cutler is our QB. Broncos could still lose there starting WR for most if not all of the 2009 season.

Florence goes to Buffalo

CB Drayton Florence was rumoured to be heading back to San Diego, but has signed for the Buffalo Bills for two-year deal worth $6.6 million. The deal can grow to $7.3 million with incentives.

The rumours that Florence was going back to the Chargers were due to CB Antonio Cromartie was said to be on the trading block and the Chargers were interested in Florence to replace Cromartie. But now Florence has signed for the Bills the Chargers have now come out and said Cromartie is not on the trading block.

The Chargers are still looking to improve their secondary. The team brought in safety Jermaine Phillips for a visit on Tuesday.

Other news, If Kurt Warner does go back too Arizona he will take less money if it keeps Boldin at the Cardinals. Josh McDaniels says they are not trading Cutler. TE L.J. Smith will visit the Lions on Wednesday, few other teams need a TE aswell. Bills may sign another player soon, LB Cato June. RB Edgerrin James asks the Cardinals to release him. RB Cedric Benson Re-signs for Bengals, Also former Bears team mate Rex Grossman will visit Cincinnati.

Ward Signs for Bucs

Derrick Ward has finally pick a team, after all the speculation of were he was going to go he has decided to go to Tampa.

The Buccaneers released Warrick Dunn before the start of FA, so they were in the market for a RB. But i think the best thing for them to do would have been to take a RB in the draft, they may still do that but Ward will be the start in Tampa.

Ward agreed to a four-year contract worth $17 million. He will make $6 million in guaranteed money in the first year and $9.25 million over two years, and $13 million over three years.
The Bucs may not finish there they are link to the newest FA on the market Jason Taylor, there is going to be a lot of interested on Taylor and i don't think it will take him long to sign for a team.

Other news, Coles Visits Bengals to replace T.J. CB Antonio Cromartie could be on the trading block after a bad 2008 seasons. Dolphins are close to a deal with Raiders center Jake Grove, Miami was also thought to be in the mix for center Jason Brown who signed with St. Louis Rams. Tra Thomas visits Jacksonville Jaguars. Browns sign Chris Carr. Cedric Benson is interested him joining Texans. The Rams could be looking to trade Torry Holt and Orlando Pace

Taylor realsed

The Redskins have released DE Jason Taylor after just one season in DC, this is probably due to the recent signing of Albert Haynesworth.

i did think at first that they were going to released Taylor at some point, then when you think of what Haynesworth and Taylor could have done for the Redskins defence. Haynesworth is that good he can the the job for the other players easier, maybe Jim Zorn took that literally as who ever he puts there can do well.

But needs must after spending so much on other players, they must have needed to free up some cap run i just didn't think Taylor would have been the one. but it is the logical move after getting one, if not the best Defensive Linemen in the game.

I think a possibility of were Taylor could go is Denver, they had a awful DL last season and they are still looking for leader, i think the rumour of Ray Lewis going to Denver is over so how many other FA out there could be leader on Defence.

Other news, the charges on Brandon Marshall have been dropped but NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will review the case. Rams re-sign CB Ron Bartell. Titans sign WR Nate Washington and DT Jovan Haye. WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh sign a $40 million deal with the Seahawks. Patriots have re-signed S James Sanders after Randy Moss restructure his contract. Ray Lewis May be forced to rejoin Ravens as his options are running out. CB Samari Rolle wants to be released after the signing of Domonique Foxworth.

Marshall needs to grow up

Brandon Marshall said that he would behave himself and keep out of trouble after what happened last year, but its clear that he hasn't stuck to his word as he was arrested in Atlanta on yesterday.

An Atlanta City Jail supervisor told The Denver Post that Marshall was booked on a disorderly conduct charge at 5:58 a.m. Marshall was released at 10:24 a.m. after posting a $300 bond.

The charge means Marshall could face a lengthy suspension it is possible he could miss up to a full season, for violating the league's personal-conduct policy. Marshall missed one game last season and also managed to fall through a TV set.

I think the best way the Broncos can make sure he will stay out of trouble is to maybe lock him up for the off-season or get someone to look after him. Because he is becoming to much of a liability to keep on the team and josh McDaniels does not stand for that kind of behaviour. Maybe Marshall is just acting out at the thought of jay Cutler leaving, but this is just another reason for Cutler to leave. He wasn't happy last year, i doubt he will be impressed this year.

CB Goodman signs

Broncos just keep signing, they have signed CB Andre Goodman who will more than likely fill in for former Broncos player Dre Bly.

The former Miami Dolphins CB, agreed to a five-year deal for $20.4 million with Broncos. That can reach up to $25 million, if he plays 75 percent of the defensive snaps. The deal also including nearly $9.8 million in guarantees money, better believe Goodman will be counted on to participate in 75 percent of the plays.

I think a better moved would have been to keep Dominique Foxworth last season because i think he is one of the most under rated CB in the league and is still young. After playing a few years under Bly and Bailey he could have stepped in now Bly has gone.

J.J Arrington may not be a Broncos

On the first day of free agency the Broncos signed RB J.J Arrington on a four year deal. But when his agent has looked through the contract he has seen there are a few whole in it, this could mean that Arrington's contract would fall through and if the Broncos would sign him again is a different question.

But the next piece of news tells you that they may not want to bring him back, as the Broncos have invited RB Derrick Ward yesterday. Ward was the favorite to come to Denver before the free agency but his costly price tag put them off. The Broncos may have pulled off a sneaky trick as Ward has visited other teams and has come away without a deal, Ward visited the Eagles and the Bengals.

He was looking for a deal around the same that Micheal Turner got from joining the Falcons after being LaDainian Tomlinson back up, which was six-year contract for $34.5 million. His price tag may be slipping now after visiting teams and coming away without a deal. So the Broncos may have played this well maybe they didn't plan it but with J.J Arrington Gone leaves space for Ward to come in. Ward will more than likely be the starter unlike Buckhalter and Arrington who were probably going to be back ups.

Moving on the rumours about Jay Cutlers trade continue now there are rumours that Cutler is asking for a trade and he said this "We'll see where I end up at. I liked it here, I liked playing with these guys, but obviously they're not going to let me have that opportunity." Jay Cutler thought he was the Broncos Franchise QB so did everybody, But if he was i don't think Josh McDaniels would trade him so he must have other ideas. but maybe he just wanted to bring Matt Cassell to the Broncos because so far this off-season he has brought a few players and coaches from New England.

other news, DT Rocky Bernard signs for the Giants. DE Antonio Smith has signed for the Texans five-year deal for $35 million which includes $12.5 million. Michael Clayton Decides to Stay in Tampa. Keith Brooking Joins the Cowboys which rules out Ray Lewis. Stacy Andrews Joins his brother Shawn Andrews at the Eagles. Kurt Warner Visits the San Fransisco 49ers.
